Our position
Vybemo has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). It is prohibited everywhere on Vybemo: in fits, profile photos, captions, comments, usernames, group rooms and direct messages. There are no exceptions and no warnings first.
Vybemo is for adults only
You must be 18 or older to have a Vybemo account. Under Indian law a child is anyone under 18. No one under 18 may appear in any photo on Vybemo, in any context. An account that belongs to someone under 18 is removed when we learn of it.
What is prohibited
- Any image, video, drawing, AI generated image or text that sexualises a child.
- Sharing, asking for, linking to or describing where to find child sexual abuse material.
- Grooming: contacting a child, or someone believed to be a child, to build trust for sexual contact or to obtain images.
- Sextortion: threatening or blackmailing a child with real or fake intimate images.
- Trafficking, or advertising or arranging the sexual exploitation of a child.
- Sexual comments or ratings aimed at anyone who appears to be under 18.
- Any other content or conduct that endangers a child.
How to report in the Vybemo app
- A fit. Open the fit, open its options menu, choose Report and pick the reason that fits best.
- A message or a chat. Open the message options or the chat menu and choose Report. A snapshot of recent messages goes to our staff with the report, so unsending cannot erase the evidence.
- By email. Write to grievance@vybemo.com. Include the handle and what you saw. Do not attach or forward the material itself.
You can also block the account at once from its profile or from the chat.
What we do
- We remove the content and the accounts behind it.
- We keep the evidence that the law requires us to keep.
- We report to the relevant authorities as the law requires, including under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.
Other places to report in India
- National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal: cybercrime.gov.in. It takes reports of child sexual abuse material.
- Childline: call 1098, the national helpline for children in distress.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call the police first.
