What the weather allows
Humid for most of the year and properly wet from June to September. Linen, loose cotton and open collars are not a style choice here, they are survival. Suede is a winter thing, and winter is about three weeks long. If your sneakers are white, the monsoon will have an opinion.
When the city dresses up
Ganesh Chaturthi brings out the kurtas, Navratri fills the suburbs with chaniya cholis, and December is for sneaker events, gigs and weddings, often on the same weekend.
Names to know
Jaywalking started here. Superkicks opened its first store in the city, and VegNonVeg and Crepdog Crew both have doors in Mumbai. Most fits you will see on Vybemo mix one of those names with something from a stall on Hill Road, which is how the city has always dressed.
