Where Bengaluru gets dressed
The markets, streets and neighbourhoods that set the tone for street fashion in Bengaluru, and what each one is good for.
Commercial Street
The old shopping spine. Fabric, tailors, footwear and everything between, packed into a few lanes.
Indiranagar
100 Feet Road and 12th Main. Brand stores by day, and the best dressed queue for a table by night.
Church Street and Brigade Road
Bookshops, buskers, and students from every college in the centre of town.
Koramangala
Startup money and cafe culture. Technical fabrics, clean sneakers, tote bags.
Jayanagar 4th Block
The old market complex, for when you want a tailor instead of a label.
What the weather allows
Mild through most of the year, with rain that arrives without warning in the evening. An overshirt or a light jacket earns its place nearly every month. Nothing here needs to be built for heat the way it does in Chennai or Mumbai.
When the city dresses up
Gig season is long because the weather allows outdoor shows for much of the year. College fests run from late monsoon into February.
Names to know
Snitch is a Bengaluru company. Capsul, a multi-brand streetwear store, is here, and both VegNonVeg and Superkicks have doors in the city.
Shops and labels change. This was last checked in September 2026. If something here has closed, moved or opened, tell us and we will fix it.
The Bengaluru fit
Overshirt, plain tee, cargos and trail sneakers that have never seen a trail. Or a checked lungi worn as a wrap with an oversized tee, which the city has quietly made its own.
Would you rate it?Bengaluru on Vybemo
A fit posted from Bengaluru is rated out of 10 by real people across India. After 48 hours it is scored. The number stays with the person who posted it, and the public sees a word. How the rating works
Bengaluru can also take its place in the weekly city battles, where fits are rated blind and the result comes out on Sunday. How city battles work
